It's really important that Christians are a part of a gospel-centred body of believers that meet together to hear God's word read and explained (1), encourage each other in the Christian life (2), and to be accountable to the authority of set-aside, mature leaders (3).
The Christian Union cannot fulfil these responsibilities, but churches can. Oxford is blessed with lots of great churches — to the left is a map of some that CU members attend and that we can highly recommend!
Have a look at their websites and try out a couple, but do your best to make a decision and get stuck in as soon as you can.
If you'd like to visit a church with a friendly face alongside you, have a look at the link below the map to a website we've set up to arrange this!
As much as we hope that you'll be able to join us in our efforts to share the fantastic news of Christ crucified (4) with the University, we understand that Oxford life can get really busy. If you can't commit to both an Oxford church and the CU, we'd strongly encourage you to prioritise being a part of your church's Sunday meetings and midweek Bible studies (or your church's equivalent) over coming to CU meetings.
